There are seven main Chakras located through the body, starting from the base of your spine through to the crown of the head. The word Chakra is a Sanskrit word and means an invisible swirling wheel of energy throughout the body. This wheel of energy is referred to as Prana which is vital life force. It connects us to the Divine God and allows us to stay energetic, healthy and stay lively. Each Chakra contains nerves and major organs as well as psychological, emotional and spiritual states of being. Each Chakra must stay open, aligned and fluid. Some people experience blockage of their Charka due to being out of balance, illness, non-belief, grief, trauma, and disconnection from the Divine God/Universe. Charkas are connected throughout the elements of mind, body soul and spirit.

The first three chakras are physical in nature. The first Chakra is located as the Root Chakra and located at the base of the spine in the tailbone area. To activate this Charka, issues of financial independence, wealth, and food must be resolved. The Root Chakra is also referred to as the foundation of feeling or being grounded. Grounding in nature amongst tree is a wonderful way to open this chakra. When open, The Root Chakra allows us to feel safe and fearless. The color associated with this Chakra is Red.

The second Charka is referred to as the Sacral Chakra and is located in the lower abdomen. In order to activate this Chakra, emotional issues around abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexually must be met. The Sacral Charka deals mainly with our connections, sexual partners, ability to allow others into our lives and new experiences and reflects our creative expression. The color associated with the Chakra is Orange.

The 3rd Chakra is called the Solar Plexus Chakra and is located in the upper stomach area. This Chakra deals with the issues of self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem. The Solar Plexus speaks to our ability to be confident and in control of our lives and is a source of personal power. The color associated with this Chakra is Yellow.

The Fourth Chakra located in the center of the chest just above the Heart and is more spiritual in nature. The Heart Chakra serves as an adjacent element between Body, Mind, Emotions and the Spirit. It is a source of Love and Connection simply by working on issues. The Heart Chakra influences our capacity to love and relates to the emotional issues of Love, Joy, and Inner Peace. The color associated with this Chakra is Green.

The Fifth Chakra is also spiritual in nature and relates to the Throat Chakra. This Chakra once open allows us to speak our verbal truth. It is located in the neck but also includes the Thyroid, Parathyroid, Glands, Jaw, Mouth and Tongue. This Chakra determines our ability to communicate, and relates to emotional issues of communication, self-expression of the spoken truth. The color associated with this Chakra is Blue.

The Sixth Chakra is referred to as the Third eye Chakra and is also known as the Brow Chakra located between the eyes. Be careful when opening this Spiritual Chakra. Once this Third eye Chakra is opened, people experience a spiritual awakening. This Charka deals with intuition, imagination, and helps us to see the bigger picture as well as our ability to think and make decisions as well as common sense, insight and wisdom. The color associated with this Chakra is Indigo.

The last Charka is referred to as the Main Chakra or the Crown Chakra, which is known as the higher Chakra and is spiritual is nature. It is located at the very top of the head and relates to our ability to be fully spiritually connected. This Chakra deals with emotional issues around Inner and Outer Beauty and the connection to spiritual and pure bliss as well as connects us to our higher selves to others as well as the Divine God. It is also referred to as the Thousand Petal Lotus and called the Chakra of Enlightenment and Spiritual connection. The color associated with this Chakra is Violet.

There are seven main Chakra but there are actually 114 throughout the Human Body. In order to open these Chakras, issues of the Inner Child must be resolve. Issues relating to lack, self-confident, low self-esteem, abandonment, sexually, incest, trust, spirituality must be resolve in order to open your Chakras.

 Basically, experiencing inner peace with yourself as well as balancing your well-being will open your Chakras. If your chakras are not balanced, peace with yourself cannot be achieved.
